Immersive multi-sensory event bringing RetireCation 2.0 to life through sight, sound, scent, taste, and touch

BOC Life elevated its signature retirement lifestyle platform with RetireCation 2.0, a conceptual evolution from the original 4 Seasons framework into a fully immersive 5 Senses experience, seamlessly aligned with the programme’s existing 6-in-1 retirement philosophy. Hosted across three floors at Soho House, the event introduced seven new cities and seven new countries in Asia, expanding RetireCation’s vision of what retirement can look and feel like for modern Hong Kong customers.

RetireCation 2.0 transformed retirement planning into a lifestyle exploration — one shaped by travel, culture, wellbeing, and personal discovery. The event showcased how individuals can craft their unique retirement journey through sensory-driven experiences inspired by destinations such as Kyoto, Vabbinfaru, Penang, Lang Co, Krabi, Phuket, and Sokcho-si.


Multi-Sensory Experience Design

Sight — A full-scale experiential environment across three curated event floors, featuring city-inspired visual storytelling, destination motifs, and live thematic zones.

Smell — Each floor was infused with a distinct resort-inspired scent, allowing guests to “travel” through different moods and atmospheres. A bespoke perfume-making workshop enabled participants to blend their own RetireCation-themed fragrance.

Taste — Guests sampled seven signature cocktails, each crafted to represent one of the new cities, paired with regional finger foods symbolising each country’s culinary identity.

Hearing — A curated music playlist featuring sounds, rhythms, and cultural influences from all seven countries enriched the immersive ambience.

Touch — A tactile layer of engagement through destination-themed food sampling and a relaxing hand-massage experience, reflecting RetireCation’s emphasis on self-care and wellbeing.


Agency Role

We led the full creative direction, event production, and sensory experience design for RetireCation 2.0. From conceptual development and spatial storytelling to cocktail design, scent programming, music curation, and workshop coordination, our team built a rich, multi-layered environment that brought the next chapter of RetireCation to life. The result was a premium, immersive event that strengthened BOC Life’s leadership in transforming retirement planning into a meaningful lifestyle journey.
